The 25th Anniversary Tour
The first 25 years happened because you gave these songs a home.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than to bring them into YOURS!
Frequently Asked Questions

Because of the nature of this tour, we’ll need some flexibility in choosing the exact date of your show so we can route all 25 shows efficiently.
On the offer form, you’ll be able to share your ideal dates, as well as any dates that absolutely won’t work, and we’ll do everything we can to work around those.
If selected, we’ll give you at least two weeks’ notice before your show so you have plenty of time to make any necessary arrangements.
Please note: The more dates you’re available to host, the better your chances of being selected!

It’s not free, but there’s also no set price.
Our primary goal with this tour is to live a great story and invite you into it. At the same time, we need to cover the travel and living expenses required to make 25 shows across the country possible.
So we’re approaching this on a “pay what you can afford” basis. We don’t want finances to automatically exclude someone from hosting, and we also don’t want to put a ceiling on what someone can offer if they’re able and excited to contribute more.
A higher offer can certainly improve your chances of being selected, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle. Geography, timing, and our ability to route the tour efficiently will matter just as much.

Some hosts are able to cover the full amount themselves and invite their guests for free. Others may want to gather a group of family and friends and have everyone pitch in. Either works!
As the host, you’ll serve as our single point of contact and financial representative for the group. So when you make an offer, simply tell us the total amount you and/or your group can collectively contribute.
One important note: This is a private show, and tickets may not be sold. Friends and family are welcome to pitch in toward the cost, but the show cannot be promoted or operated as a ticketed event.
If your offer is accepted, we’ll collect 50% in advance via online payment to secure the show. The remaining 50% is due on the night of the show and can be paid by cash, check, or Venmo.

We plan on accepting 25 offers. The majority will be played in the Fall of ‘26, and some in Spring of ‘27.

We know we won’t be able to get to everyone this fall, and with only 25 shows, we unfortunately won’t be able to accept every offer.
That said, we love the idea of continuing to do these kinds of hometown shows beyond this tour. If we can’t make it to you this time around, we’ll keep your offer and information on file in case an opportunity comes up to make something work in the future.
So even if the timing or routing doesn’t work this fall, this may not be your only shot!

It doesn’t have to be a backyard! A living room, driveway, barn, patio, rooftop, garden—or just about any space that can create a special atmosphere for a magical night of music with your friends and family—can work.
Ideally, the space should feel proportional to the number of people you’re inviting. A 20' x 20' living room might be a little tight for 50 people, while an acre field might feel a little empty with 15.
The only real requirements are access to a stable power source and a little effort toward creating a special ambiance for the night. Beyond that, get creative!

Sometimes the best memories happen when the plans change...
These shows are rain or shine, so if your primary space is outdoors, we ask that you have a covered backup option ready just in case.
And trust us on this one: some of the most special shows we’ve ever done have been the ones that had to move to Plan B. There’s something about squeezing everyone into a living room, garage, barn, or covered porch that can make the night even more memorable.

Nope! Matt will be traveling with a PA system suitable for crowds of up to around 75 people, along with a couple of stage lights.
All you really need to provide is a designated “stage” area—and that can literally just be a rug!
If you have café lights you want to string up, great. If you’re handy and want to build a little elevated stage, awesome. Those kinds of touches can certainly add to the atmosphere, but none of them are necessary.
Don’t overthink it. A great space, a group of people, and a little creativity are really all you need.scription

No. Your address will never be posted publicly.
This is a private show exclusively for you and the people you choose to invite. As the host, you’re in control of the guest list and decide who gets the details about when and where the show is happening.
Your house. Your people. Your night.

Not at all—but what’s a party without some grub?
If you want to make a big feast and provide drinks for everyone, we’re certainly not going to stop you! If you’d rather tell your friends to BYOB and bring a snack to share, that works just as well.
As the host, it’s entirely up to you how much—or how little—you want to provide. You’ll also have the freedom to decide whether or not alcohol is served at your event.
Keep it simple or go all out. It’s your party!

Plan on the full experience lasting about 3–3½ hours, with Matt’s performance lasting approximately 75 minutes.
We recommend having guests arrive between 5:30–6:00pm for drinks, food, and hanging out. By then, Matt will already be set up and have some house music playing through the PA.
The show will kick off around 7:00pm and run for about 75 minutes. Afterward, Matt will stick around to hang with you and your guests and will have some tour merchandise available.
Around 9:00pm, we’ll need to start breaking down and packing up. In many cases, Matt will be traveling again the next day, so he’ll need to call it a night and rest his voice for the next show!
